Jay is the creative force behind Pinelands Brewing Co. As a kid he spent many of summer weekends canoeing the many waterways of the Pines, sparking a lust of great outdoors and our beloved Pine Barrens in particular. This deep love for the flora and fauna of the Pinelands inspired his first home brew recipes back in 2001. Today his vision and passion for craft beer is brought to you through his original recipes of handcrafted ales with historic character.
Luke is the man that makes Pinelands go. He handles all the day-to-day operation of the brewery and prides himself on being the biggest Piney of the bunch. An avid chef, hunter and offshore fisherman you might see Luke cruising around the Pines in his Jeep with a fresh buck or a cooler of blue fin Tuna in the back. Do not call during hunting season.
Nick grew up in Winslow, NJ camping, hiking and slaying sunnies and small mouth bass in the pines around Wharton State forest. Nick graduated from Stockton University in 2002 with a BA in Business Studies and met his wife Karen shortly after graduation. Nick spends his nights and weekends hanging with his 2 little girls and handling various business and HR functions for the brewery. He believes a man with beard should know how to change a tire, bait a hook and fire a gun and enjoys doing Piney things with a cold Evergreen IPA in hand.
Sean is a graduate of Stockton University where he studied Marketing and met his wife, Jenifer. They now have two children, Shane and Rylee. During college he began working at the Gem Grill & Pizzeria in South Seaville, where he is currently a part owner. In Sean’s role as the Production Manager at Pinelands, Sean oversees the brew schedule and inventory and spends his nights and weekends brewing the many wonderful beers Pinelands produces.
John met his fellow Pinelands Partners at Stockton University where he graduated with a degree in Mathematics. John met his wife Rochelle shortly after graduation and they have 2 young boys together. He currently handles all the finance duties at the brewery. He enjoys spending his time with his wife with Rochelle and two boys Mikey and Sammy. John grew up in Burlington City and loves golfing, camping and fishing up and down the East Coast. John’s loves Pinelands Radio Red Ale because it’s the perfect balance of hops and malt and a crisp finish.
Mike has been an employee / Volunteer since almost the day we opened to the public. First as a Bartender, then as an event representative and assisting with beer deliveries, and most recently Brewers Assistant. His love of beer started at an early age, while still in high school Mike learned to brew from a teacher, and later got the equipment to brew at home. He continued his love of brewing in college by brewing with friends, and joining the local home brew club in Tallahassee FL. During his time in the club he volunteered at regional beer competitions as a steward, and participated in local events including like Oktoberfest. You can still find Mike at the brewery wearing all the hats from production to the Tasting Room.
Adam joined Pinelands Brewing in February 2014 slinging brews in the Tasting Room and has helped out in all areas of Production, including cleaning kegs & maintaining equipment. Adam is a familiar face on Sundays in the Tasting Room giving tours and pouring your favorite brews. Last year, Adam became a Firefighter and is certified Hazmat, First Aide, CPR, IMS 100 & 300, and FF1.
Robby joined the Pinelands team in November of 2014 to help with the brews, cleaning kegs and working in the Tasting Room. Born and raised on the Island, Robby also bartends at The Hud in LBI in the summer. You can catch Robby in the Tasting Room, working on the production side or surfing Holyoke and tipping back a Rye Nugget Pale.
