Production Brewer

Position Summary

This is the lead production brewer position at our facility in Little Egg Harbor, NJ.  The Production Brewer is responsible for the day to day operations in our brewhouse, and management of all production activities.  The scope of activities includes but may not be limited to, wort production, cellar management, CIP, cleaning and working in taproom or festivals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain environment in a clean and safe manor
  • Set up brew environment, including fittings, hoses, wort grant, and other materials and equipment.
  • Load and process grain and other materials for successful wort creation
  • Maintain list of raw materials and communicate ordering needs
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks on various brewhouse equipment
  • Ability to meet production needs. Hours may vary week to week.  Work week is based on a 40 hour schedule.
  • Load and unload materials for delivery, fork lift may be required
  • Recipe management and creation

Requirements

  • Ability to demonstrate brewing experience
  • Ability to operate with minimal supervision
  • Creative vision to create unique beers within our environment
  • Ability to handle demanding environment and successfully complete tasks
  • Computer and social media skills a plus
  • Ability to operate a forklift a plus
  • Must be willing to learn and fill in for other job functions at brewery

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 55 lbs. from ground
  • Ability to move 165 lbs. of kegged beer
  • Physically capable of working in confined spaces, in, around, and under equipment as necessary

Delivery Driver

Position Summary

Position is part time and based out of our Little Egg Harbor facility.  Driving distance varies but generally within 40 miles of the brewery.  Must have license and not suspended in any state.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain environment in a clean and safe manor
  • Ability to navigate NJ roadways.
  • Ability to meet delivery needs. Expected 20 hours of weekly work on average.
  • Load and unload materials for delivery, fork lift may be required
  • Cross train on other functions in brewery, including but not limited to cellar assistance, cleaning and taproom.
  • Occasional weekend work may be required.
